I'm getting ready for the relocation of my salon and have book preparing necessary documents.
I received an email from my real estate agent asking for a ファースト copy of my passport.
I hadn't heard the term and didn't know whether it meant fast or first.
The Japanese pronunciation of the English words fast and first are very similar.
At first I thought it was "fast".
like a black and white, quick copy of something.
it turns out that it was "first copy" as in a copy of the original, and not a copy of a copy.
Japanese pronunciation often leads to confusion of the original word.
So today, I would like to teach the correct pronunciation of the two words "fast" and "first"
Fast 早い
発音の仕方は口を横に開く / open your mouth horizontally
First 一番
口を真ん中にまとめる / keep your mouth to the center
"Fast" because it has no "r" should be easy for Japanese people to pronunciate.
"First" on the other hand is much more difficult.
But by knowing your correct pronunciation, you will be able to tell the difference when listening.

料理と英語の組み合わせた回。

I've recently started cooking and thought it would be fun to include it in my English lessons.
I'm not a chef, nor am I that great of a cool, but since I'm really into it I thought we could learn together while studying English.
Since I'm just learning how to cool myself, I don't know hot great I will be trying to teach English simultaneously. but
I will give it a shot!

アメリカではハンバーガーはあるのにハンバーグは無いなんて不思議。
So today I'm going to make a Japanese style western food dish "hambagu".
Basically a hamburger with no buns.
In the states you always eat the hamburger patties with buns.
but in Japan they cook it with sauce and eat it like steak.
I'm goint to cut the onion.
玉ねぎを切ります。
So as I mentioned. I've recently been into cooking.
To get into something ⇢ hamaru
最近の趣味は何って聞かれたら。

Mu hobby is cooking.
私の趣味は料理です。
最近のマイブームってことなら been into を使う。
If you don't chop up the onions small enough the patty will fall apart when you fry it.
ground beef / gound pork
ひき肉（牛） / ひき肉（豚）
I get recipes from cookpad.com and in one of the recipes for shougayaki (pork with ginger sauce)
the said to grate your own garlic.
It turned out so great that I now always grate my garlic rather than using the pre-grated ones in the tube.
grated garlic おろしにんにく
salt and pepper 塩コショウ
egg 卵
crack an egg 卵を割る
dried bread crumbs パン粉
The actual recipe calls for milk, but I forgot to get it at the store, so I'm going to usr whipped cream. Should be fine.
生クリームでハンバーグは初めてみたかも。
Now we can start making the patties!
patty ハンバーグのお肉の部分をパティという。マクドナルドでお馴染みの呼び名だね
ここは英語でトーク。
I'm going to freeze them so I can cook it up anytime I want.

I'm going to put these in the fridge.
このハンバーグを冷蔵庫に入れます。
Since I chopped up the onions very small, it blends in well with the meat and shoild cook very well.
The patties are all done!
I'm going to saran wrap it and put it in the fridge for a little while.
So, I want to make a sauce.
ソースの発音は「サース」
The sauce is very easy to make with only 3 ingredients!
mirin (sweet sake). worcester sauce, ketchup.
I'm going to fry hamburger patties on the frying pan.
フライパンはフライングパン。
Fry it until one side gets brown and then flip it over.
は多面に焦げ目が付くまで焼いて、引くを繰り返す。
simmer ぐつぐつ煮込む
Done! できあがり！
お料理の勉強にはならなかったかもしれませんが。。。
